The challenge
The tedious part of flashcards is making them. Typing a word, hunting for a translation you trust, finding the pronunciation, then writing an example sentence that is actually idiomatic — that is several minutes per card, and it is why most decks die at forty entries.
The brief was to remove that work without inventing the content. Anything the app fills in has to be traceable to a real source, because a confidently wrong translation is worse than a blank field.

What we built
LingoCard composes each card from three open corpora — MyMemory for translation, Wiktionary for pronunciation and part of speech, Tatoeba for example sentences — and shows its work rather than paraphrasing it. No model generates the language content, so nothing is fabricated.
Around that sits the part that keeps people coming back: twelve starter decks with over 380 hand-checked words, five practice modes (flashcards, quiz, spelling, listening and a timed match-up), exams drawn at random from everything you have built, and XP, levels, streaks and thirty-odd badges. Every word and sentence reads aloud in both languages through the device's own voices, so there is no audio to host or licence.
Sign-in is Google only — no password to store, no card to take.
